Screening and Enrollment done on a walk in basis and takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes.

The Medical Assistance Program or MAP, provides access to health care through networks of established providers for those Travis County residents who meet eligibility criteria. MAP is funded and administered by the Travis County Healthcare District. CommUnityCare is one of a number of health care providers for MAP patients, but we do not administer the program

Austin Dental Clinic
The Community Health Centers (CHC) help ensure access to primary dental care for those who have difficulty obtaining services due to economic or geographic barriers. Patients served include the uninsured and those enrolled in Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, and the City/County Medical Assistance Program (MAP). You must go through MAP (Medical Assistance Program) to find out your eligibility - there is a sliding scale for emergency services

Tuberculosis Elimination Clinic
Local health departments in selected urban and border counties receive funding from the Tuberculosis (TB) Program to establish a TB screening program in methadone drug treatment centers, HIV early intervention centers, homeless shelters and other organizations that serve high-risk groups. Individuals identified with latent TB infection are referred to the appropriate health department for treatment and other follow-up as appropriate. Tuberculosis testing.

AIDS Services of Austin
AIDS Services of Austin responds to the HIV needs of the Austin area by providing services that enhance the health and well-being of individuals and the community in the face of an evolving epidemic. Individuals interested in getting an HIV test at ASA should contact a Prevention Team member at 512-458-2437 to discuss eligibility and to make an appointment.

Hotline to Help
The Crisis Hotline provides access to licensed counselors 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with all crisis calls referred to Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) staff. The Hotline is accredited by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS) and PES staff members are trained/certified in accordance with AAS standards. This MHMR hotline will deal with any mental health crisis, including suicide prevention, 24 hours per day.
